About American Flag City
American Flag City was founded as a nonpartisan service to promote and advocate support for the U.S. Military men and women currently serving our country, honor the Veterans of the United States Armed Forces (past, present and future), and respect for the flag of the United States of America. AFC provides services to individuals, businesses, groups, organizations, and American Cities that individual entities and cities might not be able to afford or accomplish on their own.
Advocacy, Training & Education for Cities, Schools and Organizations
American Flag City is an important advocate for America’s “Flag” cities, Schools & Colleges and Non-profit groups. AFC is involved on a daily basis in activities which promote the “positive and good” of city officials, community leaders and the communities they serve.
- Flag Education & Training—American Flag City provides educational and support materials that promote flag education and respect for the Flag of the United States of America. Educational materials include copies of CRS Reports, the Flag Code, as well as, books and manuals. One of the primary goals of American Flag City is to provide training and education opportunities for city officials, teachers, business leaders, civic leaders and others in communities across the Nation.
- Speakers Bureau—American Flag City will address such subjects as Flag Etiquette, How to properly display and honor the American Flag, the Flag Code, and related issues. American Flag City plays a key role in addressing the important issues of Americanism, Flag Respect and how they inspire and encourage spirit and pride throughout all aspects and arenas of communities.
- Liberty Projects and Activities—There are times when the only way that people in cities and communities stay focused on “what’s really important” is with programs, events and visual/audio impressions. American Flag City operates Flag Ship Liberty and promotes Flag Day/Veterans Day/Memorial Day/Armed Forces Day events to help provide that much needed FOCUS. Flag Ship Liberty is available by advanced booking to go anywhere in the Nation. Please request booking/sponsorship information if your community is interested in a visit by Flag Ship Liberty.
AFC conducts, sponsors, and participates in the following standard training events, as well as special workshops, seminars, and conferences. These events may be held on a regional, community, or citywide basis. Standard training events include the AFC Annual Conference, AFC Academy for Old Glory, Workshops (Flag Etiquette & Flag Laws) and the AFC Community Development Institute. Please see "Training Events" on our website for more details.

Awards
Flag Ship Liberty has won numerous awards and certificates in parades
Probably the most honored and cherished award came in the form of a request by the wives and families of Idaho’s National Guard, 116th Battalion. The 116th was activated for active duty and ordered to Iraq for one year. The community honored the departing soldiers with a Grand Parade. The wives and families asked that Flag Ship Liberty lead the parade and escort their husbands/wives, fathers/mothers, sons/daughters and brothers/sisters through town to I-84.
